Busy Mama Must Haves

I get it. You’re busy and you simply don’t have time to “play in makeup” anymore. I understand because I am you. Yes, I am a beauty blogger but I am also a mama who is always rushing or trying to prevent her toddler from hurting herself. We’re moms, but we’re still these fierce and fine creatures, aren’t we? We’ve gotta start acting like it. I’m hoping a list of these beauty products will help inspire you a bit. Listen here, mama. You can’t go to bed without washing your face.

“Oh, but I didn’t go anywhere.” you say.

Yes to Carrots

Sure, okay. But you still need to wash your face every day and at least once a day. I can totally relate to finding little time to get away to bathe thyself and that’s why I love Yes to Carrots Fragrance Free wipes ($5.99 Walgreens.com) . These face wipes are 96% natural and are both cleansing and moisturizing for mamas of all skin types. Plus, they’re portable which means you can toss ’em in a diaper bag, travel bag or leave them by your nightstand for a quick fix.

Oils seem to be the new IT girl in the beauty world and really if you’ve tried one, you’ve tried them all. Until you’ve tried Darshana Natural Indian Oil ($38, Darshana Beauty) . This fantastic blend of oils (including coconut, apricot and castor oils), seriously transforms hair. Use it as a hot oil treatment, while styling your hair, as a heat protectant and on the scalp and this non-greasy blend of Ayurvedic oils will wake up dull mama hair. Oh, and I also use it as a body oil. Because, hello…multi-purpose products are the way to go.

Chubby Stick Lip Color

I NEED color on my lips. Call it vanity of what have you but I was totally that chick bouncing on a birth ball and applying lipstick at the same time. Applying lipstick throughout the day may likely be too much work for the average busy mama and that’s where CLINIQUE’s Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balms ($17, Sephora.com) come in. These plump cuties come in various shades, are self-sharpening and really are great to use in a pinch.

CVS Almond Oil Cuticle Pen

Many of my mama friends forget about their nails. Okay, fine. You may not have time to polish them regularly, but at least make sure that the cuticles are moisturized and well-groomed. I’m serious, ladies. My #1 weapon for combating scary looking nails is CVS Almond Oil Cuticle Pen ($3, CVS.com). It’s another one of those compact items that you can use quickly and keep moving. The cuticle pusher on the end really gives the appearance of a fresh mani.

COVER FX Pressed Mineral Foundation

Yeah, I know. Foundation ain’t for everyone. Myself, included. In fact, the only time I really feel comfortable in foundation is if it is sheer and easy to apply. Those are 2 reasons why I love COVER FX Pressed Mineral Foundation ($35, Sephora.com). Perfect for mamas who seek both sheer coverage and full coverage, this buildable and oil-absorbing powder feels so good on the skin. COVER FX prides themselves on catering to women of all complexions so finding a shade is easy and applying this vegan powder is even easier.
