Angel Snugs

Angel Snugs is a non-profit organization located right here in Central Florida and was founded to provide training to organizations and volunteers on how to design and create “snugs”. It’s mission is to then donate these “snugs” to medical facilities to comfort children fighting cancer while enduring their lifesaving treatments. Founded in November, 2010 by Angi Farrugia, Angel Snugs has grown into an International Organization with the help of its Founder, Board of Directors and Volunteers.

This program is truly unique and provides much needed items to these cancer patients. Soft and fuzzy scarves and hats are hand made and become the “snugs” that hug these precious angel children. The “snugs” have been evolved to include socks, fingerless gloves, and any other item that can be knitted or crocheted.

Angel Snugs is listed on the American Cancer Society national database of patient resources. Patients and their families can contact Angel Snugs to receive items for free. Once Angel Snugs receives these requests, they add the facilities these children are in to their list, so that others there will also benefit by being “snuggled”.

If you participate in local marathons, you may want to check out Winging It! This is a team endurance training program benefiting Angel Snugs. Winging It! participants work with certified coaches to train for marathons in exchange for their fundraising efforts.
