Can you feel it? Sure, it’s 80-something degrees here in Central Florida, but there’s something about wreaths and garlands going up on our neighborhood entrance signs and palm trees lit up like candy canes in red & white twinkling lights that give you that “it’s the holiday season” feeling. Or maybe it’s just me! But this is the MOST wonderful time of the year, after all, so let’s go ahead and get ready to celebrate!

Join the City of DeLand & MainStreet DeLand Association as we reimagine the DeLand tradition of Light Up DeLand as part of the City of DeLand’s Winter Wonder DeLand season-long festivities! We’ll have carriage rides, shopping, seasonal food and drinks, a skating rink, live entertainment, Santa’s Workshop, and Santa will even be skydiving in! We’ll be sharing more details as December 1st approaches. Plan to kick off the season with us!

Join us downtown for our annual tree lighting at City Hall Park and Downtown Clermont! There will be live music, food trucks, DJ, music, carolers, photo opportunity with Santa and Mrs. Claus (provided by Kiwanis Club of South Lake) and more! This is one of Clermont’s most popular traditions! We can’t wait to see everyone again to watch Downtown Clermont to be lit up by countdown!

Central Park – Kick Off the Holidays in Winter Park
On Friday, December 1, from 5 to 9 p.m., the festivities continue as the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and the City of Winter Park host Winter on the Avenue. This holiday street party will feature an array of activities including the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, presenting the city’s holiday tree in Central Park, a symbolic Menorah lighting, Santa Claus, Popcorn Flicks in the Park, live music, snow slides from the Parks & Recreation Family Fun Program, s’mores from the Winter Park Fire-Rescue Department, and so much more.

Saturday, November 25th, 2023, Join Celebration Town Center for an incredible, magical Tree Lighting Ceremony to kick off the 25th Annual Now Snowing event in Celebration from 5:30-9:00 PM. It’s a most wonderful evening featuring live music strolling carolers, a grand entrance by Santa Claus himself, and of course, the first snowfall of the season. Following the Tree. Lighting at 6 PM, snow will fall nightly through December 31st.

Get into the holiday spirit! Event includes musical performances, crafts, games and rides, a snow slide, visits with Santa and much more.
December 2, 2023 – Lake Lily Park, 701 Lake Lily Drive, Maitland, 5 – 8:30PM, Maitland’s annual Season of Light celebration will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Lake Lily Park. Bring the family for snow sledding, carnival games, fireworks, vendors, live music, a tree lighting ceremony and a visit from Santa. Admission is free.

Rules: No coolers, glass or pets are permitted
Even if you can’t make it to these events, many of these are kick offs to the holiday season! You can still stroll around downtown areas, parks and more to enjoy the sights and sounds of this “most wonderful time of the year!”
