The last book on my most anticipated reads list for 2024 (and second by Devney Perry!) is out in the world and it was my favorite by far. Devney Perry literally never disappoints me but I was not prepared for just how perfect this book is. Crossroads is the first in her Haven River Ranch series and I am already ready for the next one to be released in October. It is available in Kindle Unlimited AND the audio is included as well. If you are an audiobook listener, I highly recommend this one on audio. Samantha Brentmoor and Conor Crais are both excellent in the audio and both brought West and Indya to life.

Crossroads Summary:

West and Indya met as kids when she vacationed on his family ranch in Montana when she was eight. She returned year after year and the two grew close. After her last vacation, they were sure they’d never see each other again. But, Indya is back on the ranch (much to West’s surprise) and she owns the ranch. Of course he isn’t thrilled about having her there and is upset that he did not know his dad was selling the ranch. As they begin this new dynamic of working together, West and Indya begin to talk through her last departure from the ranch, how life has changed for them both and West demands answers about why she is back.

This story is beautifully told in both dual timeline and POV. It is so much more than a love story. It’s about forgiveness, grief, growth and compassion.

If you love childhood friends to lovers, cowboys, second chance, small town Montana and the first in a series, I highly recommend this book!

Crossroads Rating:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, 🌶️ 🌶️
