For Mother’s Day this year, 2022, after two crazy pandemic years, virtual school, working from home and somehow maintaining (most of) our sanity, I think us moms should get to do whatever we want! But if you’re here in Orlando, there are a lot of fun ideas to celebrate Mother’s Day (you know, if it fits in what you really want to do on your day!) 😉

Fun ways to celebrate Mother’s Day around Orlando

  • For BRUNCHy moms

    • You can try The Alfond Inn at Rollins in Winter Park. they’ll have a special Mother’s Day Menu by Chef David, buffet style, at 10am and 1pm. Kids under 4 are complementary.
    • There’s also a Mother’s Day Brunch at Infusion Tea in Orlando. This onefeatures  more than tea! On the menu: Hibiscus Berry Sangria, petit fours, french macarons and strawberry dream cake.
    • The MOM-umental brunch buffet at the B Resort & Spa in the Disney Springs area. It’s at their American Kitchen Bar & Grill, featuring their own classic skillet chorizo hash and a carving station with CAB sirloin, among other tasty options.
  • For moms who want fresh air and flowers

    • You can take mom to Leu Gardens on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 8th. She gets in for FREE and it’s a beautiful place to stroll and take photos.
    • If mom actually wants to arrange flowers herself, there’s a Mother’s Day workshop at The House on Lang in Orlando. Mom can learn how to design a beautiful flower arrangement, just the way she wants it!

  • For moms who love Theme Parks

    • Mom could pick EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival and enjoy all the beautiful topiaries, live music at the Garden Rocks concert and more!
    • Mother’s Day is the last day of the Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld, if she’d like to sample yummy dishes, check out some crazy roller coasters and a fun atmosphere.
But honestly, with so many parks, restaurants, Farmer’s Markets, hiking trails and more to explore around Central Florida, mom, YOU have all the options! Unless all you want for Mother’s Day is to just stay home in your comfiest loungewear and spend the best lazy day ever with the people you love.
Mom, you deserve to feel special on your day! We hope it’s one of your favorite Mother’s Days yet!

Coppelia
Coppelia is a local Orlando radio personality, wife, mom and self-proclaimed "Boricua princess!" Boricua because she was born in Puerto Rico and princess because ... Disney! Her love of all-things-Disney probably started when her grandma "Abuela Mamin" brought 5-year-old Coppelia to Disney World for the first time! She's married to her "Boricua prince charming," Adam, who is also from Puerto Rico. Both of their kids, their son Chris {2006} and daughter Ally {2009} were born in California. So far, Coppelia's family adventures have taken her from Puerto Rico to California, then Texas (where she loved being a part of our sister community, the Houston Moms Blog!) She moved to Orlando in 2019 for an awesome radio gig! You can hear her on Z88.3 in English and La Z 102.5 in Spanish! When she's not on the radio or getting her kids to basketball and gymnastics, Coppelia blogs about family, faith and fun at coppeliamarie.com. She's also the author of a Bible devotional called “Whole: How One Book Can Transform Your Whole Life." While her roles as wife & mom are priority, she loves opportunities to lead worship and sing in churches and speak at Christian women’s conferences. Orlando life is still new to Coppelia, but she loves being a Disney Annual Passholder. She and her sister Emille hit the parks as often as possible! Special Disney memories include her Disney Honeymoon in 2004 and her first RunDisney half marathon at the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in 2015! Can't wait to make new memories & share them with YOU! You can follow her on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @Coppeliamarie.
