What is a food hall?

It seems like they are the next big thing in the foodie world and Avalon Park has the best, and only one, in east Orlando.  Food halls have taken the general concept of a food court and elevated it to a next level dining experience. The Marketplace at Avalon Park is a food hall in east Orange County that is a thriving example of this up-and-coming trend in the industry, and it showcases the versatility that will be sure to keep this amazing concept thriving for a long time.

Imagine a venue where you can take your family for dinner on Tuesday and then return for a date night with your better half on Friday and have an amazing experience on both nights.

The Marketplace at Avalon Park offers 12 options for food and drink, including a craft brewery tap room, a stand-alone restaurant, offering full table service and cocktail bar, a coffee shop, general store, and multiple food vendors with an array of menus sure to please every palette.

What you will experience at The Marketplace is a smorgasbord of culinary options that will offer every member of your party a delicious choice, from your picky toddler to your even pickier teenager. 

Let’s explore a quick rundown of the offerings:

KBBQ Kitchen serves a unique Korean BBQ menu including fried cheese rolls, dumplings and Dakgangjeong as well as their signature boxes for dinner, and they offer lunch specials from 11am to 3pm. KBBQ Kitchen originates from the famous and award-winning food truck KBBQ Taco Box.

NOLA at Avalon Park brings New Orleans cuisine to Orlando! Prepared by a 3rd generation Louisiana native chef, this bold menu includes not only the favorites of jambalaya, gumbo, and Po’ Boys, but mixes it up with Po’ Bao’s, crawfish etouffee and a mix of platters and sandwiches. They offer a kid’s menu and delectable desserts as well. You also might recognize the authentic flavors from their food truck, the Voodoo Kitchen.

Cheese to Share offers a Spanish style Tapas menu of cheese creations. Their selection of cheese boards, flatbreads, bread bowls and sandwiches are just some of the offerings on their menu. There is a kid’s menu available and fondue options for dessert.  Cheese to Share is also available to cater holiday parties and special events of all sizes.

Spoleto Italian Kitchen is an Italian kitchen that creates a variety of pasta dishes as well as pizza, sandwiches, salads, risotto and delicious desserts.

The Avalon Kitchen is a ghost kitchen that offers a range of food including burgers, nachos, quesadillas and salads. Also offering a kid’s menu and a selection of cocktails.

Sip ‘n Roll is the place for your sweet tooth! Delicious handmade ice cream with a variety of exciting flavors, to be enjoyed alone or in floats.  Sip ‘n Roll offers a fusion of flavors in their Flo’teas, which fuses homemade ice cream over your favorite tea or slushie…..think trendy root beer float.  You can also get your boba-fix with a variety of flavor options.

The Avalon General store offers more than just local handmade provisions and housewares, you can get locally bottled wine, by the bottle or glass, as well as ciders and sangria. Not sure what you like? Stop by one of their regular tasting events to find your new favorite.

The 1 Cantina is a standalone, full-service restaurant with inside and outside seating. They offer traditional and contemporary Mexican dishes as well as a variety of tequila, mezcal and hand-crafted cocktails. They also offer a brunch on the weekends with an unlimited beverage option (call ahead for schedule).

Bowigens Beer Company draft room features a selection of over 20 original craft beers made in their local Casselberry Brewery. Find your favorite with a flight or a pint, as you sit at their bar watching the sporting events playing on the multiple TV’s hung around.  Already know your favorite?  Pick up a 6-pack to got to enjoy at home!

Pico de Gallo is a fast-casual restaurant serving authentic cuisine that is rooted in Latin American flavors and traditions. Pico’s bowls, tacos, and antojitos are a medley of flavorful and thoughtful ingredients that help satisfy your hunger and cravings.

The Juiice Box is set to introduce their delectable and health-conscious offerings to the vibrant Avalon Park community and beyond in the Marketplace this Fall. A sumptuous array of options awaits patrons, ranging from tailor-made smoothies and invigorating juices to indulgent açaí and pitaya bowls, along with vibrant salads that showcase the vast diversity of their menu. Beyond this, the establishment offers wraps and an all-day breakfast selection, ensuring a delightful experience for every palate.

Located in the center of Downtown Avalon Park, The Marketplace is the heart of the community, where the locals enjoy coming together to live, work and play with their neighbors and loved ones. You can create a unique experience with every visit, as you choose your company, your reason to be there, and how long you stay. You can visit Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 9pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am until 10pm, allowing you to wake up with a Rosso’s espresso and close the day sipping a cold one at Bowigens, should you choose to.
