You guys!! The first book on my list of most anticipated reads of the year DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT.

I literally squealed with excitement the moment I got an email that my Advance Review Copy of “Unforgettable” by Willow Aster had been delivered to my Kindle bookshelf. I was like a kid on Christmas morning.

I started reading it that night.

And let me tell you… I flew through 20% of the book that night and I had to stop myself from reading more.

I knew I needed to savor this book because it was going to be that good.

It took me 4 days to finish, but I was trying to make it last.

It it everything I have come to expect from Willow. It is sweet, it is spicy and you cannot help but fall in love with all of the characters. Grinny is possibly the best book grandma of all time and I love an appearance of Pappy who I fell in love with in “Autumn Nights.” Scarlett’s siblings are all loveable guys and I cannot wait for their stories to unfold as the series goes on.

We all know about my love for series of close siblings, and Landmark Mountain promises to join the others on my list as it goes on.

Book Summary:

Unforgettable is the story of Scarlett Landmark and Jamison Ledger. You can meet Jamison for the first time in the book “Autumn Nights” about his brother Zac and his wife, Autumn.

Fresh off what she calls “the worst day of my life,” Scarlett Landmark goes to a bar to drink her sorrows. When handsome Jamison Ledger sits down next to her, their chemistry is off the charts. They end up sleeping together with the expectation they will never see the other again. Jamison leaves in the morning and heads to Landmark Mountain where… surprise!… he is the new owner of Scarlett’s family lodge. Scarlett always expected to take over the lodge, but that’s not how her grandfather’s will reads and the family was forced to sell.

When she realizes the new owner is the one night stand she cannot get out of her head, Scarlett is determined to just do her job, help with the transition of ownership and decide what she wants to do next with her life. She is upset that the lodge is not hers to run and pushes Jamison away at every turn. But she still cannot get Jamison out of her head… and he cannot stop thinking about her.

Eventually these two have to come to an understanding since their poor working relationship is becoming an issue at work. But will their conversation about working better together also open the door to their mutual attraction?

This book also made me miss (just a little) cold weather and the potential for a glass dome hotel room under the stars and snow. Read the book and you will understand…

Rating:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, 🌶️🌶️🌶️

It’s an easy 5 stars for me. 3/5 spice for more than one open door scene and innuendo.

You do not need to have read “Autumn Nights” to understand this book at all, but it will make you understand the characters of Pappy, Zac, Autumn and Ivy better.
