Publisher, editor-in-chief, doula and mom of three, Kristi is one busy momma! After eight years of working as a doula with new and expectant mommas, Kristi launched The Moms Magazine for the moms in Central Florida. The addition of Orlando Moms Blog three years later was a no-brainer as there was a HUGE need for a local blog.

Thrilled with the decision to refresh our look, Orlando Moms Blog became Orlando Mom Collective in 2019. Kristi has had the privilege to mentor hundreds of bloggers, influencers, writers and graphic designers in this journey!

Kristi’s connection with the moms of Orlando goes deep. One chat with Kristi and you’ll think of her as your new best friend.

Angelica

Angelica

Angelica McCord is a first responder wife, girl mom, and writer; sharing openly about the broke mama life over at www.Thebabemom.com! This Southern California transplant has fallen hard for Central Florida outdoor adventures and eating (and instagramming) Mickey bars on Main Street USA. When she isn’t making her Dave Ramsey approved budget or out exploring the parks with her family, she’s accompanying Kristi in local news studios or on the Today Show Set, talking all things frugal & fun for real families! Her hidden talents include spotting Lilly Pulitzer from 1000 meters and turning any stranger into a friend. Her years dabbling in broadcast television, college radio, and print journalism have brought her here to OMC for her favorite adventure yet – using her voice to connect local mamas in our City Beautiful, and to champion each raw and real season of motherhood with you. Anne Marie

Originally from West Virginia, Anne Marie has been calling Orlando home since the summer of 2015. Back in the old college days she studied education and theatre and emerged from school with a BA in Dramatic Arts specializing in directing. Since then she created and managed multiple blogs and podcasts with her partner in crime (aka hubby) Bill. Currently she is a first year third grade teacher in the process of taking the alternate route to certification. She has 3 children (Liam – 12, Eliza-Beth – 10, and London – 8) who keep her busy breaking up fights over video games, YouTube and Takis. They are also involved with chess, D&D, music, STEM, and other various activities at school so this mama knows how to organize a schedule. Whenever she has downtime she likes to binge watch some tv, scroll the Instagrams, and bake…all usually with an adult beverage in her hand.

Chenoa

Chenoa

A Florida native, Chenoa is originally from Miami but has been living in Maitland for 22 years with a short 2-year break where she lived in (and fell in love with) Raleigh, NC. She’s part “adopted Southern charm” with a streak of feisty Miami girl! She’s Mom to two strong-willed, preemie babies, a 25 weeker and a 35 weeker, who now are thriving big kids (6yr old girl and 3yr old boy). They have led to a hot mess parenting style that’s fueled by coffee to get through the day and wine to try and soothe the nerves at night. She’s married to her college sweetheart who she met at the University of Central Florida (GO KNIGHTS) while studying English-Creative Writing and the fine art of Greek life. She’s a DIY junkie who loves Fixer Upper (of course), loves reading, cooking and writing. When out and about with her husband, sans kids, she loves eating at new local places around Winter Park, enjoying coffee from a favorite local coffee shop or enjoying a date night at Eden Bar in Maitland. Her adventures through motherhood have included recently transitioning from full-time working Mom to stay-at-home Mom, raising a sassy, hilarious little girl and helping her silly little guy navigate some developmental delays that have challenged her to slow down and let him guide her way. She hasn’t lost hope that she can control all the things that parenting brings and her kids haven’t given up trying to prove her wrong. Her husband is the Helicopter Parent to her Free Range which is the perfect topping to the chaos of everyday life! She frequents social media and uses her Instagram to document the fleeting moments of “put-togetherness” that occasionally happen by accident…sometimes.

Coppelia

Coppelia is a local Orlando radio personality, wife, mom and self-proclaimed “Boricua princess!” Boricua because she was born in Puerto Rico and princess because … Disney! Her love of all-things-Disney probably started when her grandma “Abuela Mamin” brought 5-year-old Coppelia to Disney World for the first time!

She’s married to her “Boricua prince charming,” Adam, who is also from Puerto Rico. Both of their kids, their son Chris {2006} and daughter Ally {2009} were born in California. So far, Coppelia’s family adventures have taken her from Puerto Rico to California, then Texas (where she loved being a part of our sister community, the Houston Moms Blog!) She moved to Orlando in 2019 for an awesome radio gig! You can hear her on Z88.3 in English and La Z 102.5 in Spanish!

When she’s not on the radio or getting her kids to basketball and gymnastics, Coppelia blogs about family, faith and fun at coppeliamarie.com. She’s also the author of a Bible devotional called “Whole: How One Book Can Transform Your Whole Life.” While her roles as wife & mom are priority, she loves opportunities to lead worship and sing in churches and speak at Christian women’s conferences.

Orlando life is still new to Coppelia, but she loves being a Disney Annual Passholder. She and her sister Emille hit the parks as often as possible! Special Disney memories include her Disney Honeymoon in 2004 and her first RunDisney half marathon at the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in 2015! Can’t wait to make new memories & share them with YOU!

You can follow her on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @Coppeliamarie.

Elaine

A Florida native copywriter and homeschooling mom of two with big dreams of doing simple things with great love. Graduated from UCF with a degree in English Literature, which gave her strong opinions on Jack Kerouac and where to get the best tacos at midnight. Either drinking coffee or a margarita right now. Spends her days learning, creating, exploring, and trying to convince everyone knitting is cool. Often has hands covered in bread flour. Fears living through another low-rise jeans trend. Kristy

Hi, I’m Kristy, mommy to 4 year old Maxwell and 1 year old Mila. Our family calls Winter Garden home, and most of our Saturdays are spent wandering around the farmers market, playing in our swimming pool, or visiting Disney World! I’m a corporate lawyer by day, and slowly but surely I’m learning how to manage this crazy work-life balance, focusing on finding those things that make life special and most fulfilling. I love photography, running (even some marathons), spending days near the water, traveling the world (beaches, mountains, or Italy are my thing), and in my spare time get my creative juices flowing while writing my blog Prosecco & Palmtrees. Our family battled infertility for nearly 7 years as well as experiencing multiple pregnancy losses, so I like to share our fertility journey in hopes it will help families be informed and feel more supported throughout their own path to build a family. Whether I’m surrounded by palm trees in my back yard or vacationing in a faraway place, I’m always at home with my family by my side.

Laurie sq

Laurie

An educator and freelance writer, Laurie has a love of connecting with people through her words. She has a degree from UConn in History and Native American and Indigenous Studies and had the plan of working in a museum, but ended up teaching for nearly a decade instead! In addition, Laurie was a barn rat growing up, and has fifteen years of experience riding and training horses. While Central Florida has been her home for ten years (and loves it – hello, Disney!), she proudly identifies as a New Englander and will forever root for the Patriots and Red Sox. She’s a wife of a lawyer, mom of an almost kindergartener, stepmom of a high schooler, and dog mom to a quirky Shepherd mix named Eleanor. Connect with her on Instagram @laurcrockerwrites!

Sylvia2

Sylvia

Hi, I’m Sylvia! I am a married mama of (almost) 10 years to three littles. (Just writing that was exhausting!) When I’m not Mrs-mama, I am also a birth doula standing alongside women in pregnancy to stand in the gap where standard prenatal care and empowered-birth advocacy meet. My passion is to connect with other women to encounter strength in community. I’m a firm believe that we thrive and live our best life when we allow others to see us at our picture-perfect best and especially at our worst. Be kind but also be bold enough to raise another mama up with truth in love! Follow me on Instagram and Facebook!
