September Book of the Month is The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides!

To me, fall is thriller season (no way can I sit through a thriller movie) so I am so excited to chat about this popular one!

Book Summary:

Alicia is a famous painter and she is married to photographer. Her life is seemingly perfect. But when her husband comes home one night, she supposedly murders him in cold blood. Once the police arrive on the scene, she doesn’t speak another word. Her trial skyrockets her art’s popularity, but she remains totally silent. She is sentenced to a psychiatric unit at the Grove in the north of London.

Theo is a psychotherapist and he jumps at the opportunity to work at the Grove. He wants a chance to work with the famous silent patient. Theo is sure he can break through to Alicia and get her to speak once again. He is so determined to learn what happened between her and her husband that fateful night.

As their therapy progresses, the past comes to light and changes everything.
