When I read The Soulmate Theory by Sarah A Bailey, I knew I had found another author that I would forever read each of their books. TST is her debut novel and it knocked me off my feet. I adored Carter and Penelope’s story and I think about them often. So when Sarah posted that she was looking for people to read the sequel, The Fate Philosophy, I jumped at the chance. I can only apologize that you have to wait a full month to get your hands on this book. Dominic and Macie’s story is the perfect blend of sweet, funny, spicy, heavy and light. Dominic is a self acclaimed Disney adult, so you know he had my heart from that fact alone. He also is the only person who truly sees Macie for who she is and never does or says anything that suggests she should dull her shine to suit him – I adore their dynamic. The Fate Philosophy will be published on November 1, 2023.

The Fate Philosophy

The Fate Philosophy Summary:

Fresh off a breakup with her loser ex-boyfriend, Macie has moved to LA to be with her best friend Penelope. She’s hoping that a fresh start in a fresh place is exactly what she needs to set her life back on track. Now, she’s questioning her career choice as a teacher and is constantly being told that her personality is too much, too big, too loud. Maci is left feeling like a mess, but with Penelope and Carter willing to let her crash at their place, she’s hoping to find her true self surrounded by people who love her just as she is. Carter’s best friend Dominic is constantly around and he and Macie cannot quit bickering. When Carter and Penelope leave for the holidays, Macie keeps finding herself in need of Dom’s help. Dominic is quick to praise her personality that many find to be too much and even challenges her on her career choice when she tells him her true feelings about teaching. Dominic seems to be the only person who truly sees Macie for who she is, never trying to dull her shining personality (you see this from the moment they meet and he had me swooning each and every time he reminds her she is perfect just as she is). Macie and Dom agree to a no strings attached physical relationship while their friends are away and they’re committed to walking away from it when either of them finds someone they do want to date. But as the holiday approaches, Dominic shuts her out and Macie has to show up for him to let him know he really does mean something to her. Will Dominic believe her?
