The Orlando Mom Book Club has developed the ultimate guide to beach reads. Our group was full of amazing recommendations, many of which I have added to my own TBR list. I wish I was headed to the beach this summer to experience this list to the fullest… our neighborhood pool and the amazing Florida weather will have to do instead.
With the approach of summer, many of us are ready for the beach. And the beach means a good summer read.
Really, summer and reading go hand in hand for me. I also love summer reading programs at the local library because it helps keep my reading on track as well as encourages my girls to keep up with their reading. My oldest is reading on her own and I just know she will thrive this summer as she continues to independently read while trying to meet her summer reading program goals.
If you are headed on a parents only beach vacation this summer, or even if the whole family is going, I firmly believe you can make a serious dent in your yearly reading goal while on the beach. I love sitting on the beach, Kindle and automatic page turner in hand, swimsuit on with that salty smelling breeze invading my senses.
I moderate our Orlando Mom Book Club and asked our group the following question:
“If someone asked you for a book recommendation for their summer beach trip, what book are you recommending?”
